Introduction and Party Invitations

What’s your favorite color? It’s a basic question, but an easy one to think about when looking for inspiration for a fun party for children.

A party theme based on colors is a special party for young children, even as young as one year old. Babies love to look at bright colors, so if you only have babies from 6 to 18 months attending your party, have primary color toys that the babies can play with, read colorful books, put on cheerful music, and send home books on colors. If this is the general age, then 45 minutes to an hour is plenty of party time.

For your party invitation, use a small rectangular card and write your party details on one side and hole-punch the card. Purchase a box of crayons and tie up to three crayons together with a bright ribbon, and then thread the invitation card through the ribbon as well.

Party Tip:
Ask your guests to come dressed in their favorite color.
