Introduction and Party Invitations

What’s better than a trip under the sea for your birthday child and his or her friends, especially if he or she loves oceanic animals and the beach? It’s a ton of fun to take a swim (imaginary or real) to encounter sea animals great and small and play in the ocean with their friends for an afternoon of fun. If the theme inspires you, dive right into these oceanic ideas.

For your ocean invitation, cut out a piece of blue cardboard to fit inside a snack-sized Ziploc® bag. On the card, write the party details. In each bag, place a little bit of sand, small shells, and add in the card. Seal the bags and place them in blue and green envelopes.

Alternatively, collect seashells next time at the beach or purchase them at a craft store. Write your party details directly on the shells and either hand-deliver to your guests or send in padded envelopes.

Note: Remember to use thematic language in your invitation. As an example, on the front of the card, write: Under the sea is the place to be… ocean currents, fish galore, an adventure is sure to be found, come and see, and together we’ll celebrate birthday child’s name turning age under the sea!
