Introduction and Party Invitations
The old adage, “As for me, make mine tea” is a lovely sentiment to build a wonderful child’s birthday celebration around. Little girls love to dress up with hats and gloves and attend a dainty party full of tea, whimsy, and delight. Don’t forget to make it fancy and invite the teddy bears too.
For your tea party invitation, use some pretty toile scrapbook paper and cut out a teacup and a saucer and glue the sides together. Print out the party information on a piece of crepe paper that can be tucked inside the cup’s pocket. When the guests open up their invitations they can look at the inside pocket for the information.
Alternatively, cut out a teacup-shaped invitation and add all of the pertinent party details on one side and then add a teabag. Connect the bag with string to the teacup.
Party Tips:
A small number of guests for this type of a party would work best, given the constraints of the tea table.
Ask your guests to wear fancy outfits including a dress, good shoes, and some special jewelry, and bring along a favorite teddy bear.
